Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Example: Appropriate players at least 9 years old who have completed at least one year of Learn-to-Play.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Example: Season begins with tryouts in August and runs until playoffs in February.

Coaches: must complete steps 1-7
Volunteers/Managers: must complete steps 1-5
Board Members: must complete steps 1-5
Parents: are encouraged to complete the Safe Sport Module

Step 4- while you’re waiting on your clearances to come back; log into your USA account to complete SafeSport
The SafeSport Module is free and is completed online annually.

Step 5- Once you receive your above clearances back upload them into the National Screener
USAH National Screening (act 33/34 Clearances)
Screening must be processed through the USAH vendor online, regardless of other clearances the adult may possess. Requires PA clearances documents (3) to be uploaded for screening process.

Step 6- completion required before team rostering/participation
ASM or Age Specific Module with instruction specific to the age division being coached

Step 7- completion required by December 31st
CEP or Coaching Education Program Clinics instructed by USAH personnel
Clinics are scheduled virtually and at various locations. Coaches start with Level 1 and must do a clinic or recert annually until they reach Level 4. Coaches are only permitted to do one clinic or recert a year regardless of what level they are coaching. Coaches at Level 4 or 5 may have continuing education requirements found at https://www.usahockey.com/rules
